As you may or may not be aware, on 26th August we had a fire on the premises at the farm.
Thankfully no one was hurt and the firefighters were able to save the Christmas trees growing in the paddock. However, our “Shed”, the heart of our business where our office and showroom display were located, and retail sales occurred were totally destroyed. After a mammoth clean up we are starting over again literally with a clear slate. In light of this event, after many hours of discussion, we have had to make some difficult decisions regarding how trading for Christmas 2021 will look like.
Our office and showroom have temporarily relocated across the road to 630 Old Northern Road, Dural (previously known as Hargraves Nursery). Tagging Day will still go ahead on the farm but will be subject to a few conditions.
WE WILL NOT BE TAKING ONLINE ORDERS FOR FRESH CHRISTMAS TREES THIS YEAR AND WILL NOT BE OFFERING OUR DELIVERY SERVICE. We feel that we do not have enough time to rebuild the infrastructure required to carry out this service and most of all we do not believe we could provide a high quality level of service to our customers, therefore all trees must be selected and picked up from the farm directly. We will be at Carriageworks (in Everleigh) Markets on Saturdays the 4th, 11th and 18th December from 8am to 1pm or until sold out, with a selection of sizes but unfortunately we cannot accept pre-orders.
Between current NSW Government COVID regulations and the recent fire, we know Christmas at Dural Christmas Tree Farm will be a little different this year. We are looking forward to welcoming back all of our customers to the farm and with fingers crossed that the shell of our new shed will be standing tall.
From all of us at Dural Christmas Tree Farm we thank you for your well wishes, thoughts and love sent our way during this challenging time and for your patience, support and understanding as we navigate our way through Christmas 2021.
WE HAD POSITIVE FEEDBACK ABOUT TAGGING LAST YEAR
***BOOKINGS ARE REQUIRED***
To comply with current NSW Government guidelines regarding re-opening of businesses due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the following procedures have been put in place for entry to the farm on Tagging Day. Please note: The conditions of entry outlined below are valid at the time this newsletter was written. They are subject to change only when we are given directives from the NSW Government. Although these regulations may or may not reflect how we wish to trade this Christmas, they must be implemented in order for our business to open to the public. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Customers must book a free ticket through the website https://www.trybooking.com/. Each ticket will allowentry of up to a maximum of 8 people into the farm and a 2 tree tagging limit for the time slot you have chosen. Please note, your ticket will show a 1 hour time slot. Customers can access the farm 15 minutes prior to their allocated time and must leave 1 hour after the end of the time window. For example, a booking of 11.00 am to 12.00 pm means you can arrive at the farm from 10.45am and must leave by 1.00 pm.
Tickets will be available on https://www.trybooking.com/ for every session from 7.00pm on Monday, 25 October 2021 until 9.00 am on the day prior to the session time (unless the allocation has been exhausted earlier). Waitlist is available for each session and customers are able to return their tickets if circumstances change to allow other customers to access the session.
There will be NO ACCESS TO THE FARM BEFORE 8:45am and as usual, tagging will commence at 9:00am.
PLEASE BE AWARE THIS YEAR WE HAVE A VERY LIMITED SELECTION OF 6 AND 7 FOOT TREES GROWING ON THE FARM AVAILABLE ON TAGGING DAY. THE MAJORITY OF TREES ARE GENERALLY 8 FOOT AND ABOVE. HOWEVER, DO NOT BE ALARMED, WE HAVE PLENTY OF 6 AND 7 FOOT TREES GROWING ON OUR GALSTON AND GLENORIE FARMS WHICH WILL BE CUT DAILY AND AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP FROM THE FARM FROM SATURDAY 27TH NOVEMBER, AS WELL AS OUR USUAL SUPPLY COMING FROM VICTORIA.
JUST REMEMBER YOU NEED TO FIND YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE BEFORE YOU QUEUE TO HAVE IT TAGGED.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO THE FARM
We are open and operating under the NSW health mandated rules. We do not make the rules but we do have to enforce them if we wish to open. Please be advised of the following:
Customers must book a free ticket through the website Trybooking.com only for the tagging week (13/11/2021 – 19/11/2021).
People must be fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption. Vaccination evidence must be provided upon entry or a medical contraindication certificate/medical clearance form. Children under 16 years of age who are not fully vaccinated can generally follow the rules for fully vaccinated people so long as they are visiting with a fully vaccinated member of their household.
You can download a Christmas Tree Tagging Information Form above which you can print at home and bring to the farm completed with all your details. After you have tagged your Christmas tree, if you do not want to wait in line, please hand the completed form in at the EXPRESS TAGGING DESK with your tagging dockets. Our staff will stamp one copy for you and attach the other copy to the form. We will then forward your tagging confirmation via email within 7 days. If you forget the tagging form, or do not have a printer at home, we will have the forms available on the day at the farm.
You will only need to line up at the counter if you require a confirmation/receipt on the day of tagging.
Our range of more mature Christmas trees range from 8ft to 16ft tall. Prices vary depending on the size and age of the Christmas tree. If you are interested in purchasing one of these larger Christmas trees, prices and delivery costs/dates will be quoted on application.
All tagged Christmas trees must be paid in full on the day of tagging.
FAMILY FUN DAY IS ON WITH A DIFFERENCE….

Begin your family’s Christmas experience at the Dural Christmas Tree Farm, home of the most perfectly shaped Christmas trees. All you need to do is select the tree that your family will love in your home this Christmas and we will take care of the rest.
Established in 2000, the Dural Christmas Tree Farm is now Sydney’s largest fresh Christmas tree farm where members of the public can come to buy Christmas trees. We are Sydney’s only Christmas Tree Farm offering fresh Christmas trees from the farm as well as pre-cut Christmas trees with services including netting, delivery and installation in Cinco Christmas tree stands, with a collection and recycling service also available.
Bring your camera to the farm to capture your family choosing their fresh Christmas tree and interacting with the REAL REINDEERS and other farm animals at the Dural Christmas Tree Farm. Santa usually drops in on the weekends so if you’re lucky enough to visit while he is here you can take your own photos of Santa and the kids. We have our very own jumping castle for the kids which will be up on all weekends when we open in November. A sausage sizzle, ice creams and cold drinks are also available to keep everyone in the festive spirit.
If your schedule is too busy to personally visit the farm before Christmas, you can purchase your tree online or by telephone and have your real Christmas tree delivered to your door and even installed in one of our Christmas Tree Stands.
